Types Of Backup Business Internet We Offer

Cellular (LTE/5G)

This is the most popular choice for rapid deployment. Using robust hardware like Cradlepoint, we deliver LTE backup and 5G failover business internet that keeps you connected wirelessly. Since it bypasses local wires, it is immune to physical fiber cuts affecting landlines.

Fiber Optic Business internet

For businesses requiring high bandwidth during an outage, a secondary fiber line is ideal. We source a distinct fiber provider from your primary ISP to establish diverse routing. Consequently, this dual WAN setup maintains high speeds for data-heavy cloud applications even during a switch.

Cable Business Internet

Cable internet offers a cost-effective wired alternative to fiber. If your main connection is fiber or DSL, a cable backup internet service provides a stable physical failover path. It also integrates easily into most firewalls to support essential VoIP systems and general browsing.

Satellite Business Internet

For remote locations where wired or cellular options are weak, satellite ensures you remain online. Modern Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology offers lower latency than before. It serves as a viable disaster recovery link for sites far from urban infrastructure.

Wireless Business Internet

Fixed wireless delivers internet via microwave signals between two fixed points. It provides a completely separate infrastructure from ground cables. As a result, it is an excellent solution for business continuity, ensuring you have internet redundancy even if street-level cables are damaged.

Why Does Your Business Need Backup Internet?

You need reliable internet to run your business today. Sadly, ISP outages and fiber cuts are unpredictable. These breaks disrupt your business operations instantly. Consequently, your revenue loss grows quickly during downtime. Also, critical tools like VoIP systems and cloud applications stop working.

Fortunately, a backup business internet service protects you. It acts as simple insurance for your network. If your main line fails, automatic failover switches you to wireless backup internet or 5G failover. Thus, you avoid productivity loss completely. Your staff stays on video conferencing calls without pause. In short, internet redundancy keeps your customer satisfaction high and your Point of Sale (POS) systems online.

Key Features of Business-Grade Backup Internet

Automatic Detection and Switching

You do not need to manually swap cables when the internet fails. We also offer SD-WAN technology or advanced routers to detect packet loss or disconnection immediately. Then, the system triggers automatic failover to the backup line instantly, ensuring seamless continuity.

Session Persistence and IP Continuity

Dropping a call during a switch is frustrating. However, advanced wireless backup internet solutions often feature session persistence. This technology keeps your VoIP systems and VPN connections active during the transition. Therefore, your live calls and secure sessions do not disconnect or reset.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Business-grade services come with performance guarantees that consumer plans lack. We source providers that offer strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding uptime and repair times. Consequently, you have assurance that your mission-critical applications are supported by committed resolution targets and professional reliability.

Security and Data Protection

Security remains paramount even on a backup line. We also offer cybersecurity solutions that support secure tunnels and encryption standards. Whether you use Static IP or dynamic configurations, your data remains protected. Thus, sensitive transactions on POS systems remain secure while running on LTE backup or secondary lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does backup internet cost?

Prices depend on the tech, like LTE backup or fiber backup. However, we find you the best rates as your partner. generally, wireless backup internet is very cheap compared to the high cost of downtime.

How fast does failover happen?

Modern automatic failover is nearly instant. In fact, your team will likely not notice the switch at all. Consequently, VoIP systems stay online. Also, video conferencing calls continue without freezing during the change.

Can I use my existing router?

Yes, you can usually use your current router. Many business routers support dual WAN setups already. However, we can suggest a new device if needed. This gear manages your redundant internet connection properly.

Do I need static IP for backup?

You need a Static IP for servers or secure lists. Furthermore, it helps keep your VPN connections stable. LTE backup often uses dynamic IPs. But, we can find providers with Static options for you.

What's the difference between backup and redundancy?

Backup internet service sits idle until a failure happens. Conversely, internet redundancy uses both lines at once via load balancing. Both aid business continuity. Yet, redundancy often improves speed during normal days.

How do I test my backup connection?

We suggest you test during quiet hours. Simply unplug your main cable to simulate a failure. Then, check if automatic failover starts. Finally, ensure mission-critical applications work well on the secondary internet.
